November 12, 2010 (Beitostolen, Norway) – Russians stole the show in the men’s 15km free race at the FIS Beitosprinten event with temperatures around zero degrees meaning there might have been some waxing/ski issues. Alexander Legkov (RUS) took the victory in a time of 37:36.9, while fellow countrymen Petr Sedov and Evgeniy Belov captured second and third spots, respectively. The most shocking story of the day was Norwegian star Petter Northug’s disappointing 49th place showing. No Canadian or US skiers were in the mix.
