November 13, 2010 (Beitostolen, Norway) – The USA’s Torin Koos is the lone North American racing in Beitostolen this weekend qualifying in 17th in the men’s 1.4km sprint out of 54 starters. Norway’s Anders Gloersen led the field in the qualifications. Top Norwegian Petter Northug had another flat day placing 31st and did not advance. In the women’s 1.1km qualifications Norway’s Maiken Caspersen Falla led the field with Slovenia’s Vesna Fabjan in second and Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (NOR) in third – no North American women are racing.

Koos did not advance past the quarter finals as John Kristian Dahl (NOR) took the top men’s spot after qualifying fifth. Eirik Brandsdal (NOR) cruised to second, followed by Oystein Pettersen (NOR) in third. The women’s final was won by Caspersen Falla with Fabjan in second and Kari Vikhagen Gjeitnes (NOR) in third.
