November 12, 2010 (Beitostolen, Norway) – Not surprising the Norwegian women swept the podium at the season opener in Beitostolen with Therese Johaug taking the win in the women’s 10km skate followed by Kristin Størmer Steira in second and Marthe Kristoffersen in third. Claiming fourth was Vibeke Westbye Skofterud also from Norway with the Russians hitting the scoreboard in 5th with Svetlana Nikolaeva. No Canadians or Americans competed.
