March 31, 2014 (Barcelona, Spain) – The 49^th International Ski Congress will take place in Barcelona (ESP) from June 1-6 and the registration deadline of April 15 is quickly approaching. Since rooms at the official venue Hotel Rey Juan Carlos 1 are allocated on receipt of the registrations, National Ski Associations and participants are recommended to register as soon as possible.

It will be the fourth time that the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation has welcomed the FIS bi-annual gathering of its Member National Ski Associations, the previous occasions were Madrid in 1961, Barcelona in 1969 and Puerto de la Cruz in 1981.

The meetings of the Technical Committees and the Council will take place at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I, whilst the General Assembly will be at the neighbouring Catalunya Conference Centre.
