Unfortunately I couldn’t be present at the Popular Committee meeting as we had two meetings parallel on this morning but what I heard so far, they had a successful meeting as well with detailed discussions on the calendar, FIS points in FIS Marathon races and a couple of rules discussions.
Right now, we concluded the World Cup Sub-Committee meeting. Thanks to an excellent work of the group around Tiit Pekk, they will present tomorrow a good proposal of the World Cup Calendar 2010/2011 to our Cross-Country Committee. The Cross-Country Committee will have their meeting tomorrow morning, reviewing all the decisions which were taken during the past two days in the Cross-Country Sub Committees and making the final proposals of the most important decisions for the FIS Council.
A special thanks I would like to say to our friend Al Maddox, who was a representative in our Committees since 35 years and now leaving them. Al, you did a great job all the year’s. Many thanks!
Talk to you soon,
Yours Vegard Ulvang
FIS Cross Country Chairman
