FIS Licence Applications Due August 25, 2005

provided by the CCC

June 26, 2005 – It is time to renew or apply for your 2005-06 FIS Racing Licence!

To apply for the FIS racing licence, please complete the FIS Declaration Form (including full date of birth – not just the year – and club you compete for) and forward it by mail or fax, together with your cheque or VISA or MasterCard number and expiry date to the Cross Country Canada National Office at:

Cross Country Canada, 100 – 1995 Olympic Way, Canmore, AB T1W 2T6

The cost is $45.00 and the deadline to submit the form is August 25th, 2005.

This deadline is very important. Licence applications received after this date will have to be processed separately and a late charge will apply. Any FIS licences registered after January 1, 2006 will be processed at a cost of $100.00. If you require points to be added retroactively, this will cost you another $100.00.

NOTE: Any Junior skier who may make the criteria for a national team or international tour is encouraged to purchase a FIS licence at this time as it will be needed for international competition.

During the ski season, please ensure that your FIS Licence number appears on final results of races so as to gain credit for FIS points and to be eligible for NorAm prize money in the NorAm Canada Cup Series.
