January 3, 2009 (Schonach, Germany) – The U.S. Ski Team moved up two spots after the jumping round to finish sixth in a four-man World Cup team event Saturday in Schonach. Germany dominated the event with the Norwegians taking second on final leg heroics by Magnus Moan. Austria was third.
The US team was made up of Johnny Spillane, Bill Demong, Eric Camerota, and Todd Lodwick. The four men finished 1:01.0 min behind the winning time of Germany in 43:28.1. Sunday the competitors will compete in Day two of the Schonach World Cup in the HS96/ 10km individual event. This is the same event where Lodwick earned two podiums last week.
