FIS Nordic Season Launches in Ruka, Finland Nov. 24-27

release by FIS XC
November 17, 2016 – The Nordic ski family is going to Ruka (FIN) next week where the traditional FIS Nordic Opening is set to take place from 24th-27th November 2016 with competitions in Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined. Organisers have confirmed conditions are ideal ahead of the season’s opening World Cup events presented by Viessmann.

“The snow situation is good and the competition course is covered with man-made snow,” the Organisers said. “It is the same situation with the ski test area, so all the competition venues are prepared for the opening. The weather prognosis is also promising, winter-like weather will continue for at least the next ten days”.
