February 10, 2010 (Oberammergau, Germany) – Anders Aukland won the 38th edition of the König Ludwig Lauf, minutes ahead of his little brother, Jørgen. The win was a relief, after his somewhat disappointing eighth place in the Marcialonga. Last year’s champion Stanislav Rezac (CZE) had to settle for fifth.

Initally skiers had to race 50km, but because of the absence of snow, the organizers decided to hold the race on two loops (2x21km). The 42ckm Classic race is part of the Worldloppet, the Euroloppet and the DSV cross-country skiing series.
