FIS XC World Cup Alberta Men’s 1.7km Classic Sprint Qualifications – USA’s Koos 2nd

February 6, 2010 (Canmore, Alberta) – The USA’s Torin Koos pulled off a fabulous time in the men’s 1.7km classic sprint qualifications placing 2nd behind Swedish speed king Emil Joennson as 10 North American men made the top thirty to advance to the next round. Canada’s Stefan Kuhn had a great qualification time as well placing 7th with Andy Newell (USA) in 10th followed by Phil Widmer (CAN) in 18th, Sean Crooks (CAN) in 19th, Devon Kershaw (CAN) in 22, the USA’s Simi Hamilton in 23rd, Brent McMurtry (CAN) in 25th, US speedster Garrott Kuzzy in 26th with Chris Cook (USA) in 27th.
