provided by VANOC

May 18, 2006 – Haworth, Inc., a global industry leader in sustainable modular interiors and adaptable workspaces, today announced a new partnership with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). Under the terms of the new agreement, Haworth becomes the first Official Supplier of the 2010 Winter Games.

The six-year Official Office Furniture Supplier designation provides Haworth with sponsorship rights within Canada for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, including sponsorship rights for the Canadian Olympic Team for Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Games. Haworth’s commitment includes providing modular furniture and architectural interiors, and additional support services for VANOC’s new Campus 2010 headquarters in Vancouver such as installation, project planning and furniture modifications, as well as future VANOC opportunities.

“Our exciting journey has already started with the creation of VANOC’s own adaptable workspace, which will be home to more than 1,200 corporate athletes by 2010,” said Gary Scitthelm, President, Haworth Canada and Vice President of Business Groups – Global Architectural Interiors & Wood Products. “Everyone at Haworth is thrilled about this opportunity and we are excited to show the world our high standards – Haworth furniture that optimizes human performance and our world class customer service.”

A founding pillar of the new partnership is Haworth and VANOC’s shared commitment to sustainability, as well as the shared core values of striving for excellence and creativity in every endeavor. Haworth’s leadership in sustainability fits with VANOC’s overall commitment to managing the economic, environmental and social impacts and opportunities created by the 2010 Winter Games in ways that will produce lasting benefits – locally and globally.

“Today, the 2010 Winter Games team grows stronger as we welcome Haworth and its team of 1,950 Canadian employees to our family,” said John Furlong, VANOC CEO. “The comfort and flexibility of the Haworth modular furniture and interiors are perfectly suited to our evolving team and open office environment. As a provider of innovative adaptable workspaces, Haworth’s leadership and reach across Canada will be key to ensuring that we achieve our mission to deliver extraordinary Olympic and Paralympic Games with lasting legacies.”
