December 16, 2009 (Canmore, AB) – It’s coming down to the last weekend for Canadian Nordic skiers to earn a spot on their 2010 Olympic Team. The Haywood NorAm/Teck Sprints in Canmore, AB promises three days of intense competition. The schedule begins on Saturday, with the Teck Sprints, and concludes with the distance classic events on Tuesday. The races will be held on new, extremely challenging courses. In particular, the sprint courses were designed to necessitate kick wax and diagonal striding. The course maps can be viewed here: Women’s Sprint course, Men’s Sprint course.

The Men’s 50km and Women’s 30km classic race will be held on the grueling here repeated 10 times for the men, 6 times for the women.
