September 19, 2008 – Vote for Lake Placid’s Nina Lussi 14, to be Sports Illustrated for Kids athlete of the year. She has made it into the top 10 out of 6,000 entries. Vote as much as possible every day this week until Sunday when they will cut the 10 to 6 finalists and then vote even more so that Nina can make the cover of the December issue!

Last winter, Lussi won the Women’s Junior National Ski Jumping championship. Among her other sports are water skiing, soccer, baseball, and golf. She has consistently been one of the top students in her grade. She plays trumpet in a marching band for Lake Placid’s 4th of July and Halloween parades, and always participates in village clean up days.
