November 17, 2008 (Duntroon, ON) – With the snow gods on their side it looks to be a busy season at Highlands Nordic, host site for the December 21-22 NorAms and 2009 Canadian Championships March 8-15. Today the Nordic facility opened it’s trails as a burst of winter blanketed the southern Ontario region over the weekend with 10+ centimetres of new snow and it’s still snowing.

Highlands currently has 5km of trail open for skating, and are hoping to have any where from 7- 9km by this coming weekend. Head groomer Scott Holmes is back and adding to Mother Natures contribution making snow along the fence line near the chalet.
