February 26, 2013 (Val di Fiemme, Italy) – On Sunday, Feb. 24th, the USA’s Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins scored historic gold in the women’s 6×1.3km Team Sprint at the FIS Nordic World Championships in Val di Fiemme, Italy. Canada’s Devon Kershaw and Alex Harvey, the defending champs in the men’s 6×1.6km race, just missed out on the bronze following a dramatic photo-finish. SkiTrax caught up with US Women’s Coach Matt Whitcomb and Canadian Head Coach Justin Wadsworth for their impressions on these exciting races and what lies ahead.
