October 04, 2011 – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has nixed North Korea’s proposal of co-hosting the 2018 Winter Olympic Games with its South Korea neighbour – to which the Games were awarded in the first place, reports Reuters.

The South Korean resort of Pyeongchang won the 2018 bid last week after which a member of the opposition Democratic Party suggested sharing the Games with North Korea. IOC President Jacques Rogge quickly shot down the proposition, citing the Olympic Charter. Read more HERE.
