Italy Announces 2016/17 Cross-Country Ski Team

May 24, 2016 – The Italian Winter Sports Federation has announced the 2016/2017 Italian National Cross Country Ski Team. The team will be broken up into World Cup, A and B/U25 teams, with a total of 24 athletes being named to the various squads. The men’s World Cup Team will consist only of two athletes in Francesco De Fabiani and Federico Pellegrino, while Virginia De Martin Topranin will the the lone woman on the World Cup Team. Another four men and four women have been named to the A Team, while the B/U25 Team will consist of eight men and six women.

Francesco De Fabiani, Federico Pellegrino

Women’s A World Cup Team:
Virginia De Martin Topranin

Men’s A Team:

Women’s A Team:
Gaia Vuerich, Greta Laurent, Lucia Scardoni, Ilaria Debertolis

Men’s B U25 Team:
Manuel Perotti, Sebastiano Pellegrin, Daniele Serra, Simone Urbani, Stefan Zelger, Paolo Ventura, Mikael Abram, Giacomo Gabrielli

Women’s B U25 Team:
