March 5, 2008 – Ivan Babikov, who recently received his Canadian citizenship, attended the Russian Dinamo Championships the day after winning the American Birkebeiner for more top performances, racing in three event over the next four days and capturing gold in the 10km classic. “I won the 10km classic and finished 4th and 5th in 15km skate races. I didn’t feel very good after Birkie,” said Babikov.
