July 21, 2014 (Thunder Bay, ON) – Big Thunder Nordic Ski Club (BTNSC), in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seeking to fill the full-time position of Head Coach.

BTNSC currently offers training programs from Mini-Midget/Peewee through to Masters age groups. In partnership with Lakehead University, BTNSC provides coaching services to the highly successful Thunderwolves Varsity Nordic Ski Team.

Primary responsibilities of the Head Coach include:
– development and delivery of club training programs,
– year-round coaching of Racing Team athletes,
– development and management of assistant coaches,
– coordination and attendance for local and out-of-town races and training camps,
– working with parents, volunteers and executive of BTNSC

Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will be a skier and/or coach with experience at the junior and senior racing level, with NCCP coaching certification. Big Thunder Nordic Ski Club is committed to the development of our coaches and financially supports the pursuit of coaching certification.
