May 09, 2015 – PacificSport Northern BC is seeking a highly motivated leader to manage the delivery of High Performance Services across multiple locations throughout Northern BC.  Based in Prince George and with satellite facilities and staff in Fort St. John, PacficiSport Northern BC is a non-profit organization providing high quality resources and services to athletes, coaches and community sport organizations throughout northern BC while exciting youth to live healthy, active lifestyles along the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) pathway.

Reporting to the Executive Director, as a key member of the PacificSport Northern BC (PSNBC) Management team, you will provide leadership and technical expertise in the development and implementation of all High Performance Services specific to the needs of developing and elite athletes in northern British Columbia.

Programming Excellence

  • Driving a culture of excellence and high performance aligned with the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model in a multi-sport environment.
  • Establish and deliver best practices in the development of high performance programming for developing and elite athletes.
  • Physiological testing, evaluation, monitoring and reporting for high performance athletes from throughout Northern BC.
  • Organizational Excellence
  • Overall personnel, administration and financial management of the Performance Programs contributing to the achievement of the strategic directions of PacificSport Northern BC.
  • Transparency and excellence in all communications.
  • Commitment to continuous learning for long term athlete development and exercise physiology.

Sustainability

  • Contributing to the Sport Development in Northern BC through the development and provision of coach and athlete education programs.
  • Liaise with Integrated Performance Enhancement Team partners to grow the capacity in northern BC.
  • Fostering long-term partnerships with government and sport organizations and private corporations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Sport Science or Sports Administration or a related discipline.

• Certified Exercise Physiologist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing Strength & Conditioning programs for developing and elite athletes.

• Current CPR (C) and Standard First Aid (recertified within 3 years).
