April 23, 2011 (Fairbanks, Alaska) – The University of Alaska Fairbanks has a full-time opening for a ski coaching intern for its ski team for a 6-month period. The intern will assist the head and assistance ski coaches with the coaching and management of the men’s and women’s ski teams.

The Main duties include daily supervision of practices; videography; technique demonstration; technique analysis and correction; strength training demonstration; strength-training supervision; equipment maintenance; waxing; van-driving; fundraising support; and other duties as assigned. Intern will also assist with home and away competitions in the following areas: transportation; wax selection & application; providing feeds during races; giving split times; and other duties as assigned.

This position mandates frequent night, weekend, and holiday hours between September 18, 2011 and March 10, 2012.
