October 12, 2009 (Lake Placid, NY) – As temperatures in Lake Placid descended to near-freezing, town dignitaries and local citizens and fans gathered on Saturday evening, Oct. 10, to bid farewell and offer their well wishes to local 2010 Olympic-bound athletes. Top biathletes Tim Burke and Lowell Bailey were in attendance, as well as Nordic Combined athletes Todd Lodwick and Bill Demong.
