September 30, 2013 – The Larch Hills Nordic Ski Club is taking over the sport of cross- country skiing in BC. Despite the relatively warm climes of the interior, the Larch Hills cross country ski club has seen consistent growth in size and also quantity of top-level results over the past few season.
So it is no surprise that they hosted the biggest Teck Regional Camp in BC last weekend. With more than 68 athletes, aged 9 to 16, from around the central interior attending, the club coaches and athletes whetted their appetites for winter as the temperatures dropped and summer ended.

The best part of the camp was the “amazing race” according to the participants. The event combined running and training activities in one fun challenge. “It was great to see all the kids working together to achieve a goal,” said Randi Ostby, volunteer coach and camp coordinator.

Overlander Ski Club will host a Teck Regional Snow Camp from November 22-24, 2013 in Vernon. For more information on this camp, or to register, please visit the club website.
