Churchill was a club coach for the Blow-Me-Down Cross Country Ski Club in Corner Brook during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He’s also assisted Newfoundland and Labrador ski team members at national events over the past four years.

Since being named Provincial Coach/Technical Director, Churchill became acquainted with the team members at the annual fall dryland camp in Corner Brook. He is currently in the midst of planning the annual snow camp, which takes place Nov. 26-Dec. 4 at the Menihek Nordic Ski Club in Labrador City. The camp is designed to give the coach, team members and up-and-comer skiers an opportunity to work on technique improvement and develop team chemistry as they head into the 2006 season.

The camp concludes with the Labrador Open Races.
