March 24, 2005 – You do not want to miss this race! The 2005 edition of the Colorado International Spring Series (CISS) starts on Saturday, March 26th and this
year’s event is set to deliver great snow, plenty of fun, and a stellar
field from all over the world.

The field is set: skiers from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany and Russia will join a full slate of North American’s elite teams.
Representatives from team Brazil and Thailand will add a bit of spice to the event and serve as a testament to the world-wide growth of Nordic ski
racing.

Andrew Johnson of the US Ski Team will return to defend his 2004 CISS title.
New to this year’s event are Martin Koukal of the Czech Republic, 2003 World Champion at 50km and Kris Freeman of the United States, fourth place at the 2003 World Champions at 15km, and the first American to qualify for the World Cup Red Group (top 30). Looking to make their marks or move up the podium are Ivan Babikov of Russia, second at last year’s CISS and 2005 Super Tour champ, and Germany’s Rene Reisshauer, 2005 double NCAA champion from
the University of Denver.

Not to be overlooked, a quality women’s field will be lead by defending
champion Rebecca Dussault of the US Ski Team, Wendy Wagner of the US Ski
Team and Sigrid Aas of Norway. Rest assured, the lady’s races will be
competitive and entertaining.

celebration of the democratic nature of Nordic skiing racing, allowing the
