NCCP Community Coaching Certification Requirements

provided by the CCC

January 6, 2005 – These requirements take effect as of today, January 02, 2005 and can be viewed here: http://www.cccski.com/main.asp?cmd=fil&ID=384

Coaches who have completed the Introduction to Community Coaching (ICC) workshop (participated in the entire workshop) prior to this date will be “grandfathered” in that they will automatically receive credit for the evaluation components that were covered during that workshop.

Coaches who have completed the ICC workshop, but have not yet participated in the CC workshop, need to complete the prescribed tasks that follow completion of the ICC workshop in order to obtain community coach certification when they do take the CC workshop.

Coaches who completed both the Introduction to Community Coaching and Community Coaching (CC) workshops prior to this date will be “grandfathered” in that they will automatically receive credit for completing all the evaluation components for community coaching certification.

After today, participants in both workshops will be required to complete all the steps outlined in the CCC Certification Requirements in order to achieve certification.

CC certification provides evidence that a coach has completed the prescribed training program that prepares them to teach FUNdamental age skiers. In a more general sense it means they have completed an educational program that prepares them to coach novice skiers of any age.

Any questions relating to CC certification should be directed in the initial instance to Division coach and athlete development coordinators.
