NENSA Names Zach Stegeman as New Executive Director

release by NENSA

April 7, 2012 (New Gloucester, ME) – The New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) is pleased to announce that Zach Stegeman will be its new Executive Director.  This past season Zach served as assistant coach at Bowdoin College and before that he was Marketing Manager for USA Triathlon.  Zach’s love of skiing, marketing experience, and inclusive leadership style make him the ideal candidate to lead NENSA.

NENSA Board President Anne Donaghy comments, “We are so impressed by Zach. Already being a part of the NENSA community was not in the job description, but Zach’s growing up with high school skiing in Maine and then college racing in the East, and returning to be part of the NENSA community is a bonus.  We are very excited about working with Zach.”

Zach takes over as Executive Director of NENSA, replacing Pat Cote who in five years as director and eleven with the organization oversaw growth in membership numbers, event participation, giving, and scope of programs. “We’ve had a good run,” Pat says, “but I believe NENSA is well-positioned for even more growth. With Zach’s strong marketing experience and his collaborative style the next few years will be an exciting time for the organization.”

Stegeman will be Executive Director as of May 1. Cote will retain a role as an advisor to the Executive Director before departing at the end of May.
