New Program Helps Canadian Athlete Families Attend 2010 Olympics

October 2, 2008 (Vancouver, BC) – Families of Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes competing in the 2010 Winter Games will be able to watch the performances of their loved ones in person, instead of on TV according to a CP report in the Globe and Mail.

The program will be called the Canadian Athlete Family Program and Petro-Canada recently announced it will contribute $3-million for accommodation, meals and tickets for more than 500 athletes’ families to attend the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler.
