New Vauhti Wax Formulas Push Speed Limit as Sochi Games Near

release by Vauhti

VauhtiJanuary 09, 2014 (Joensuu, Finland) – Vauhti Ski Wax renewed its powder line four years ago around the time of the Vancouver Olympics. With the initial success in Vancouver, we have been working very hard for the last four years testing and developing even better powders. The winter of 2012-13 gave us the results we were looking for. New test versions were being used in our own team activity as well as on the Finnish national team, and the latest tests confirmed that the new versions are better than their predecessors in all aspects.  We are happy to announce that these new products are now ready to commercialize.

The partially new raw materials and new compositions of the powder line bring significant improvements to managing the extremes: wet snow, and on the other end of the spectrum, cold and dry conditions. In addition, the powders for conditions in the middle have been used to win preliminary ski races in Sochi, so this powder has also undergone improvements.

Vauhti’s commercial powder series still includes three powders – the new powders are identified by the gold edging on the package and the version number clearly marked on the package. The new powders are coded HFC9.1, HFC15.1, and HFC21.1. Available in shops starting in mid-January 2014.

Product development will continue with the goal to always produce faster products.
