NNF News – NNF Allocation, Double Pole Development, Continental Cup Photos

release by NNF

December 17, 2014 – The NNF bears a simple mission: to support athletic excellence in developing U.S. Nordic athletes. To that end, through grassroots support and large fundraising efforts like the Drive for 25, the NNF raises the funds necessary to support an environment of growth for skiers. Read more about NNF Pillar projects here. This year in just our first allocation of the season, we’re announcing over $90K in support for skiing.

“I was wondering how Andy and Simi could’ve done on skate skis. I think they could pull it off.”—–Matt Whitcomb
There is no doubt about it when it comes to Simi. I was at the Climb to the Castle, in Lake Placid, this fall at about the 2.5 mile marker when Simi came by in the top 15 but behind where I thought he should—I was wondering if this was a bad day for him. No iut wasn’t but earlier in the weeke he had tweaked his ankle, so he was DOUBLE POLING THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN—YES, STRAIGHT DOUBLE POLING IT ALL THE WAY. Davos would have been right up his alley!!!!! GO for it next time you guys.
