NorAms At Black Jack Ski Club This Weekend

January 4, 2007 – 310 racers have registered to race the biggest ever cross-country ski race to be held at Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club in Rossland, BC.

Racers have come from as far away as Australia to compete in this race.  Members of the Junior National Ski Team including Chris Jefferies, Dave Nighbor, Graham Nishikawa, Phil Widmer, Alex Harvey, Sara Hewitt, Brittany Webster, Haakon Lenes and others who will be joined by local racers.

There are people coming from most provinces in Canada, along with a contingent of skiers from the United States.  Snow is great here in Rossland and the skiing has been silky smooth.  Thursday, January 4, 2007 is the Free Technique ski race and the race starts at 10:30. Please car pool as parking will be limited. Saturday January 6, 2007 is the Sprints using Classic Technique and the racing starts at 9:30. Sunday January 7, 2007 is the mass start with classic technique and the racing gets underway at 9:30.
