June 19, 2004 – Cross Country BC (CCBC), the provincial sport organization
for cross country skiing in British Columbia invites applications for the
position of Regional Coach – Okanagan.

The Regional Coach will be responsible for implementing the PacificSport
Regional Centre Program for cross-country skiing in the Okanagan Region.

· encouraging and assisting junior development programs in the region
· coordinating and delivering the Regional Camp Program – Okanagan
· leading CCBC Talent Squad Camps
· delivering NCCP Community Coach Courses
· delivering skill development clinics for developing coaches and ski
technicians
· providing mentoring opportunities to developing coaches

Desired Qualifications:

· NCCP Level 3 certification in cross country skiing
· coaching experience
· good communication and leadership skills
· experience and skill working with community volunteer organizers

Contract period: beginning no later than Septemer 1, 2004 and ending March
31, 2005.

Residence:

The successful candidate is expected to live in Kelowna, B.C. for the
duration
of the contract. Travel throughout the region will be required. A CCBC
vehicle will be available for travel assignments.
