September 6, 2008 (Canmore, AB) – The 2008-2009 Cross Country Canada Para-Nordic Funding Program is an initiative in support of the recruitment and development of individuals with a disability who have shown an interest in cross country skiing. This effort is designed to enhance Para-Nordic grassroots programs, leading to a stronger competitive base in Canada. To this end, Sport Canada has allocated funding to help CCC promote and deliver programming to people with a disability (PWAD) at the early levels of performance development.
