Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Sportif 2009 Online Registration is Now Open!

August 1, 2009 – The countdown to Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Sportif 2009, to take place in Vancouver, November 12-15, begins with online registration now open. Highlights of this year’s conference program include a choice of 38 workshop sessions that will cover four streams: coaching the developing athlete, high performance, coach education and research, and sport management.

This year’s conference will also include the International Council for Coach Education (ICCE) Global Coach Conference which will bring together coaches and coach educators, researchers and sport scientists, technical directors, and sport administrators from around the world.

For the second year in a row, the SPort INnovation (SPIN) Summit will be held in conjunction with Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Sportif. The SPIN sessions begin on November 12 and will run throughout the weekend. Also holding a pre-conference session is Own the Podium, which, together with SPIN, will provide the conference’s high performance stream.

The ever-popular Sport Exchange Forum will once again attract exhibitors and participants from national sport organizations, multi-sport organizations, and provincial/territorial sport organizations. The Sport Exchange Forum is a unique opportunity to share information about programs, services, and best practices in system development, innovation, research, accessibility, and outreach.
