Rollerski World Cup 2005 – Croatia

August 21, 2005 – In the last race of the Croatian rollerskiing World Cup in Oroslavjie, David Bogatec / ITA beat the world champion Igor Glushkov / RUS and Igor Cuny / FRA came in third. The Croatian Adrijana Stipancic´ won the women’s competition, ahead of Mateja Bogatec / ITA, and Italian racer, Anna Rosa.

In the pursuit victory went to the Italian Alfio Di Gregorio with his teammate Michel Rainer and Valerio Theodule on the other two steps of podium. Fourth position went to Vladimir Fedoulov / Rus ahead of the Italian Jules Pession. In the women’s race, the win went to Valentina Kislukhina / Rus ahead of Viviana Druidi / ITA and Erika Bettineschi / ITA.

In the junior races, the went to Turkish athlete Muhammed Kizilarslan. Second place fo Desmond Verboort / NED and third to Glauco Pizzutto / ITA. In the “pink” competition, first place went to Germany with Theres WOLF beating Nathalie Rissena / NED and Marina Kovacec / HR.

The World Cup standing after six races is being led by Russian Igor Glushkov with 492 points, ahead of the whole Italian team: Alfio Di Gregorio (332), David Bogatec (283), Simone Paredi (240), Michel Rainer (231), Jules Pession (224). In the women’s ranking the first six positions are divided by Italy and Russia. Mateja Bogatec is leading with 416 points on two Russians Marina Firsova (331) and Elena Vedeneeva (320); then Viviana Druidi (305), Elena Rodina (260) and Anna Rosa (199).

Next round of Rollerski World Cup 2005 is in the first weekend of September in Geyer (Germany) for a pursuit and sprint races: the last check before the FIS Rollerski World Championships in La Tramblade (France) 8th/11th September.
