February 9, 2009 – Reports and rumours are flying that several Russian biathletes have tested positive for a new blood doping performance enhancer, possibly a newer CERA EPO. Russia Today and Steroid Nation claim that Anders Besseberg, president of the International Biathlon Union, recently announced that three Russian biathletes – Ekaterina Iourieva, Albina Akhatova and Dmitry Yaroshenko – are alleged to have failed doping tests.
