Sadie Bjornsen Recaptures Women’s 30km FR Title at 2019 L.L. Bean U.S. Cross Country Championships

April 02, 2019 (Presque Isle, Maine) – Sadie Bjornsen (APU) from Winthrop, Wash., pulled out all the stops en route to recapturing the women’s 30km Freestyle national title at the 2019 L.L. Bean U.S. Cross Country Championships on the final day of the competitions in Presque Isle, Maine with a resounding victory.

Rosie Brennan from Park City, Utah took home the silver medal at 34 seconds back while Julia Kern (Waltham, Mass.) claimed the bronze. Kern was also the top U23 skier in the field.

In the Junior Women’s 20km FR race Canadian Shaylynn Loewen (NTDC TBay) was the fastest woman with the title going to top US skier, Sophia Laukli (Stratton Mountain School), with her teammate Charlotte Ogden in second, and Abigail  Streinz from Fort Kent Outdoor Center finishing as the third fastest American.
