September 25, 2017 (Duluth, Minnesota) – Plans to bring state-of-the-art snowmaking for cross-country skiing to Duluth received a $20,000 injection from St. Scholastica touted as a a “win-win” for the Saints and the city says Chad Salmela, St. Scholastica cross-country ski coach. The Duluth XC Ski Club’s Grand Avenue Nordic Center project, in conjunction with Spirit Mountain and the DXC, will see 5-plus kilometers of trail development and 3.3K of snowmaking infrastructure plus lights at the base of Spirit Mountain – read more in the Duluth News Tribune here.
