December 29, 2004 – Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC) and Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) invite you to a weekend of adventure and education in the Canadian Rockies at Lake Louise for the seventh annual CAC Avalanche Awareness Days.

Held in Lake Louise and in over 30 mountain communities across Canada,
Avalanche Awareness Days promotes public awareness about avalanche hazards and staying safe in the mountains. Joining us again this year will be Justin Trudeau to help profile the efforts of the Canadian avalanche safety industry and the importance of keeping people safe in the mountains.

We hope you’re able to join us on Friday, January 14th for the Avalanche
Awareness Media Day at Lake Louise Mountain Resort for a press conference on the avalanche safety innovations happening in Canada, special events and demonstrations including rescue simulations and avalanche dog demonstrations. Then, join Justin Trudeau that evening at the Chateau Lake Louise for a media wine and cheese to relax after a day on the mountain.

Saturday, January 15th, head up to Lake Louise Mountain Resort for public events including beacon searches and dog demonstrations, or join the CAC and Parks Canada for a “Day in the Life” of a Parks Canada Avalanche Forecaster. That night, party in the mountains with live music, guest speakers, an auction with Justin Trudeau, food and cold Kokanee Beer at Lake Louise Mountain Resort.
