Ski New Hampshire Now Offers Online Lodging Reservation

release by Ski NH
November 15, 2007 (Toronto, Ont.) – The internet has become the most powerful resource for skiers and riders planning their days on the slopes. In response to this, Ski New Hampshire is constantly upgrading www.SkiNH.com and www.xcSkiNH.com as new technology emerges. Ski NH represents 37 alpine ski areas and offers lodging at 200 properties throughout the state.

Among the improvements this year is a new feature which allows travellers to book their lodging on SkiNH.com while researching their vacation. Ski NH’s nearly 200 lodging members specialize in catering to skiers and riders and will be featured on the web site. The new online reservation feature comes thanks to a partnership agreement between Ski NH and ARES Online Lodging.

Websites continue to become more interactive and blogging is one of the most popular ways to create a relationship with guests. Blogging is another feature recently added to SkiNH.com. The blog will offer updates on everything from weather forecasts and snow conditions, to special events and news from NH’s ski resorts. Look for updates posted by Ski NH staff and special guests from various resorts three times per week during the winter months.

Ski NH has long recognized the need to feature images of current conditions on New Hampshire’s slopes and trails. In order to fulfill this need, Ski NH employees visit a different ski area every Tuesday during ski season to get fresh footage of current conditions to be posted at SkiNH.com. When guests visit the site, they will now find the video directly on the homepage, set to play automatically.

In order to keep guests up to date on the latest developments and additions at SkiNH.com and xcSkinh.com, RSS feeds are being offered this season. RSS feeds allow internet users to sign up for notification of significant changes made to Ski NH websites. Among the items to be included are the blog area, deals page, snow reports, photo of the day, weekly video and more.

In addition to these new features, visitors to Ski NH’s websites will also find many other features as well. They will find information regarding current snow conditions, daily photos from the slopes around the state, weather forecasts from the summit of Mount Washington, a locator map of ski resorts in New Hampshire, and details on every resort with links to each resort’s website. There’s also a great deals section, calendar of events, terrain park guide, details on snow tubing, an order form for Ski NH’s magazine, and information on Ski NH’s Anywhere, Anytime Ticket Packages.

“SkiNH.com and xcSkiNH.com are redesigned every fall in order to keep up with new developments on the web and this winter’s additions may be our most important improvements to date,” comments Ski NH’s Marketing Director Karl Stone.

Visitors to the site can subscribe to Ski NH’s email newsletter, full of breaking deals, free tickets and giveaways, and new information that will help make the most of their days on the slopes. For members of the media, there is a media center that features Ski NH’s press kit, recent press releases, and an image gallery for publications in need of photos.

Cross country skiers can visit xcSkiNH.com for detailed information on New Hampshire’s cross country areas, including weekly updates on specific regions and resorts, and breaking news from New Hampshire’s trails.
