January 2, 2009 (Nova Mesto, Cze) – With two stages remaining the TdS is coming down to the wire and so is our TdS Contest as there’s a new contest leader by the slimmest of margins – 1 point. Team Jeffries is in front and wins our Rest Day 2 prize – a $100 Gift Certificate at High Peaks Cyclery.

There’s lots of action still to come as the TdS picks up again tomorrow in Italy with two tough stages remaining – and with only 20 points separating the top five teams in our contest the final outcome is up for grabs. As we prepared the final standings for Stage 5 we noticed a spelling/bib# discrepancy with Tor Arne Hetland that must have occurred during the updating of the final TdS skier list. We checked further and found two other discrepancies with skier names, Aino-Kaisa Saarinen and Justyna Kowalczyk, including a results error on Stage 3 – all of which may have affected some team results and standings. We have corrected and re-checked everything and apologize for any discrepancies.
