July 06, 2012 – Although there are still more than one and a half years to go – the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games are already around the corner.

On 1st July 2012, the start the official Olympic qualification period for the Sochi 2014 Games coincided with the start of the new FIS Calendar year.

From now until 19th January 2014, the athletes across all FIS Olympic disciplines have the chance to meet the Olympic requirements in order to be allowed to start in the 2014 Games (note: Nordic Combined qualification does not include the Summer Grand Prix competitions).
