June 08, 2010 (Sochi, Russia) – IOC President Jacques Rogge said he is satisfied with the report by Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, that indicates that the development of infrastructure, programs, and venues are well underway for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, according to The Voice of Russia.

The Prime Minister said that 34 of the Olympic venues will be ready before January. Putin and Rogge will be taking part in  a ceremony that will see the laying of the cornerstone of an Olympic university, which will aim to develop elite Russian athletes.
