March 04, 2012 (Sovereign Lake, BC) – You are invited to the Sovereign Lake Freestyle Loppet Saturday March 10.  The event is open to skiers of all abilities from recreational to elite. Events start at 2 or 4 km for kids, a 10 km, 15km or 30 km loppet, bring the family. “Loppets” are citizen cross country ski events where participation is the key.

Loppets are all about skiing with yours friends and making new friends at your pace.  There are energy drinks on the trail to keep you feeling great, many draw prizes, music, awards and lots of food at the finish line.  The Sovereign Lake Loppet is the last event in the interior loppet series and draws people from BC, Alberta, Washington and beyond.

This years loppet will use the courses designed for the Sparkling Hill Masters World Cup. We have received excellent feedback from around the world about these trails and we are happy to have a permanent and easier loppet course to share with you this year.
