February 14, 2011 (Vernon, BC) – Along with wishing your sweetheart a Happy Valentines, if you want to be a part of the Masters excitement, don’t forget that registration for the Sparkling Hill Masters World Cup closes today at midnight (Pacific Time.)

“It’s never been in B.C. before and it will be at least eight years before it returns to Canada. Local skiers should consider this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for competing in this event at Sovereign Lake,” cautions Ryan. “This is absolutely the last day you can register. I can’t emphasize that enough. No doubt, people will want to register after the deadline, but there’s nothing we can do because all the registrations go to Switzerland.”

The Sovereign Lake Nordic Club is gearing up to host competitors from more than 15 countries in the pinnacle of championships for athletes aged 30 years-plus. The weeklong Sparking Hill Masters World Cup, running March 3-11, features classic and freestyle races ranging from five to 50 kilometres in length.
