February 2, 2009 (Telemark, Wisconsin) – Kristina Strandberg (Saab/Salomon) tightened her stronghold on the women’s over SuperTour lead winning Saturday’s 5km Classic and Sunday’s 10km skate events at round #8 in Telemark, Wisconsin. Bryan Cook (CXC Elite) was the men’s winner on Saturday while series leader Leif Zimmerman (US Ski Team), who was 4th in the classic race, took Sunday’s 15km skate event in 33:10.3 over Lars Flora (Saab/Salomon) in 2nd and Brian Gregg (CXC) in 3rd.
Lindsey Dehlin (US Ski Team), who is second overall, finished second in Saturday’s women’s classic race followed by Katie Ronsse (APUNC) in 3rd. Flora took second place honours as well in the men’s classic race on Sat. with David Chamberlain (MWSC-Fischer/Craft) in 3rd.
