Synopsis of Selection Process – Canada World Cups December 2005

December 6, 2005 – Introduction: The number of people selected was limited to athletes meeting the FIS requirement under rule 3.1.4 that the number of participants of the organizing country, called national group, may not exceed ten (10) competitors. Those competitors must have reached at least one result better than or equalizing 120 FIS points, sprint or distance. As per FIS guidelines this standard must have been met at least once during the last or current season.

For the men’s sprint and distance teams a reserve team spot for the national group has been added in case of sickness or illness to any team members that cannot start one of the races. The women’s teams does not have any reserve positions due to the fact that no other athletes meet the FIS standard requirement.
