December 4, 2009 – Tara Geraghty-Moats, or TGM for short, has a passion for two things – ski jumping and cross-country ski racing. And she has excelled in both from the start. A home schooler from West Fairlee, VT, from the beginning Tara has been free to explore the woods, the air, and her potential as an athlete, encouraged by her parents and older sister. This summer, at age 16, Geraghty-Moats won the U.S. Junior Nordic Combined Championships at Lake Placid, NY – sorry boys!
