Taylor Fletcher was fifth after the ski jumping which took place on the HS134 meter jump in the morning. With Berend in the lead, Taylor and brother Bryan were able to move up quickly on the Olympic course at Soldier Hollow to catch him by mid race. The trio were neck-and-neck through the third of four laps. Taylor and Bryan moved up past Berend on the final lap, with Taylor making the move on his brother as they reached the final climb up the fabled Hermod’s Hill to take an easy victory – his first ever at U.S. Championships.
