November 04, 2013 – This year we will select six students from high schools around the state to take part in a winter adventure in Baxter State Park, featuring backcountry skiing, winter backpacking, winter camping, and more.

From February 16-19 join a group of your peers as you travel into the heart of Baxter State Park. Spend four days and three nights learning how to thrive in the winter wilderness!

No previous experience is necessary, just the desire to learn and share your enthusiasm for adventure!

Deadline for application submission is Nov 22, 2013. Applicants will be selected and notified by December 6th. Once accepted, participants will receive a detailed trip information packet. In return for admission to the program, participants will design and execute an outdoor-based service project in their school or community during the 2014 school year with the help of Healthy Hometowns and Teens To Trails.

Eligibility: Any Maine student currently in 9th – 12th grade is eligible
